Confidence

Confidence: The full trust and belief in yourself; trustworthiness or reliability of a person or thing

In order to succeed I believe you need confidence. When you apply confidence to any task you are currently working on, you can only prosper and bring out your best abilities. The foundation of confidence is love. The reason why confidence never fails is because love never fails. Over the years there have been times where I lacked confidence on the court and I didn't play to my full potential. I had a talk with my mom and she brought that confidence out of me. She told me that being successful is just a matter of:
  1. Believing you deserve to be successful
  2. Believing your thoughts create your destiny
  3. Consistently doing every good thing to help my team win.
  4. Having extreme confidence in your God given abilities
It was a matter of me making a mental adjustment and trusting in my God given abilities.  Every day of last summer I would work on my game every morning. I'd visualize my whole senior season and helping my team as much as I can, while I was playing to my full potential. You just have to believe in yourself and in God and the sky WILL be the limit.

What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail?

Team Work Makes The Dream Work!

That is a saying I've heard throughout my whole life. It's self explanatory. When a team comes together and works as 1 unit the sky is the limit! I had my first basketball season opener game last night and my team won. We won because we all worked together to accomplish our goal, to win! We weren't trying to look good , or be fancy in front of everyone, we wanted to win. Since we all were in agreement and connected, the game came easy to us. As long as a team comes together as a team, and each and everyone one is commited and dedicated to winning the dream will happen and they will win!

4 Ways to Achieving Straight A's!

Doing good in school should be top on the list of priorities.  I learned from my parents to keep my priorities in order:

1.God  2. Family 3. School  4. Basketball 5. Everything else

This has helped me keep my head on straight. So doing well in school is a top priority for me and hopefully it is for you too. They also taught me to not only learn something but master it and always exceed expectations.  So don't just try to do good in school, get straight A's! These are some tips you can use to get Straight A's in school:

  • Be neat and Organized! The more organized you are the easier you find the work you need to turn in and to study for. This helps keep you on the right frequency to being ready for test day.
  • Make sure to be on top of all your work and turn it in on time! With all your classwork turned in, you are already on track for receiving and A in your classes.
  • Pay very close attention in class! The more you pay attention the easier it is to study and you are more prepared on test day!
  • Be extremely positive and see your self ahead of time with a report card filled with A's!! Remember go hard or go home!!!! -Julez

Welcome!

Welcome family, friends and coaches! I put this blog together to document my journey of success and love of basketball and hopefully motivate other student athletes to excellence. I learned that nothing is impossible to those who believe. If you believe in yourself and your God-given abilities and have a desire to help, whether it's to:
  1. help your team win
  2. to give back to society
  3. to motivate others that don't have encouragement
then God will make sure that your SUCCESS is inevitable! Let's Go!
